
Full course description
This 12-hour institute includes both asynchronous learning and live sessions. It is designed to address TEKS that are challenging to 8th grade students including:
Domestic Policies of the early Presidents
Foreign Policies of the early Presidents
Political Parties
Reconstruction
Participants will have the opportunity to work at their own pace on portions of the institute, learn from scholars and consultants in live sessions, and demonstrate their learning through a variety of activities.
Join us and experience hands-on lessons that allow learners to engage with the content and gain a deeper understanding of our nation's history. Explore lessons and strategies that support student success and enrich existing curriculum. Participants receive access to all materials upon completion of the course.
July 11-14, 2022 Live Sessions from 10:00-11:30 a.m. each day.
The virtual LRE training will model best practices in both online instruction as well as face-to-face instruction.
Teachers will receive 12 hours for this institute. This is based on the successful completion of all asynchronistic components of the course and attendance at the live facilitated sessions.
Course opens to begin asynchronistic work on May 16, 2022.
